Culture Days

Culture Days logo.Culture Days raises the awareness, accessibility, participation and engagement of Canadians in the arts and cultural life of their communities. With the support of volunteer groups at the national, provincial and local levels, hundreds of thousands of artists, cultural workers, organizations and groups, volunteers and supporters self-mobilize to host free participatory public activities that take place in hundreds of cities and towns throughout the country over a month each year.

Culture Days will run from September 20 to October 13, 2024.

Need help funding your Culture Days program? The Saskatchewan Library Association is offering ten $200 grants to libraries who put on programming for Culture Days. Both individual and institutional SLA members are eligible to apply for the grants.

Applications for Culture Days program grants will open on June 10, 2024 and close on July 8, 2024. Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by July 18, 2024. The grant application form will be made available on this page closer to when applications open.

Successful applicants are required to submit a final report to SLA, including any receipts, by November 13, 2023. SLA will mail out a cheque for the exact amount requested up to $200 after the final report and all receipts have been received.
